lighting, master-of-ceremonies duties and public address systems from self
contained, portable equipment requiring a small operating space.

How
much does a Mobile DJ cost? This depends on
several factors such as how long you will need the services, how far the DJ has
to travel to get to the event, logistics, special equipment and, sometimes, the
day of the week or season of the year. Most services offer a base rate for a
certain number of hours and an hourly rate for time used beyond the base. A
reservation deposit is usually required to confirm your reservation.

How do I choose a DJ? Once
again, this depends on several factors. A DJ that might have been perfect for a
teen rave party may not be a hit at your wedding reception. You may like an
energetic up-beat personality, where someone else might want a more laid-back
style. You should interview DJ's as you would any other service contractor. Any
good DJ should not balk at your request to meet him/her prior to you making a
decision. Ask for references and seek
recommendations from friends, family or businesses that have used these

What kind of music do you bring?
Our master music library contains over 10,000 music
selections covering the past half century. Standards, big band, rock roll,
country, blues, jazz, RB, techno, and special event music. We bring
approximately 3000 of these selections with us depending on the type of event

Can I choose the music to be played?
Absolutely! We encourage you to browse through our music
catalog to choose specific music selections for your event. Our catalog can be
uploaded to you as a text (.txt) file, or mailed to you upon receipt of your
reservation deposit. Free inquiries for specific music can be made on our
on-line Information Form.
During your event, you and your guests are encouraged to request your favorite

How will you dress for my event?
Exactly the way you wish. Formal with "Black Tie",
semi-formal with coat and tie, or casual with Dockers and colorful shirt...you

Productions help me plan my event? Absolutely! Part of our mission at Black Tie Productions is to
provide the BEST customer service and support systems. Our experienced staff
will take the time necessary to assist you in arranging music, suggesting
vendors and event venues, co-ordinating your program agenda, and provide custom
event production. We provide free, easy-to-complete wedding and reception
planners to assist our brides and grooms in making their "Big Day" just the way

you charge for travel and set-up time? Not
usually. Our time starts when you want the entertainment to begin. If your
event location requires over 45 miles of travel from Gresham, Oregon, a mileage
fee of $.23 per mile is assessed. Our set-up time is usually one hour prior to
your event. If you require an earlier set-up time, $25.00 per hour wait time is
